M. Adam Hughes is a law enforcement veteran and security professional with more than 19 years of operational experience in investigations, narcotics enforcement, intelligence operations, and executive protection. He retired in 2023 from the Colorado Springs Police Department after a distinguished career serving in both Arizona and Colorado, and currently holds active law enforcement certification in the state of Utah.

During his law enforcement career, Adam spent a decade as an undercover detective with the Colorado Springs Metro Vice, Narcotics, and Intelligence Division. In this role, he led complex, multi-agency investigations involving federal, state, and local partners targeting transnational criminal organizations, organized crime networks, large-scale narcotics trafficking, and human trafficking operations, including cases of indentured servitude. His work involved directing complex undercover operations, producing actionable intelligence, and leading operational and tactical planning and execution in high-risk, dynamic environments.

Adam is a graduate of the Executive Protection Institute and brings specialized training in executive protection, surveillance and counter-surveillance, threat assessment, and protective advance operations. His professional background includes extensive experience in mission planning, operational risk assessment, and leading tactical execution and decision-making in dynamic and sensitive environments. He holds a degree in Criminal Justice and is a certified Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) member, with training in de-escalation and trauma-informed response.

Known for his strategic mindset, calm leadership, and disciplined approach to complex security challenges, Adam applies his investigative and operational experience to the private security sector, delivering trusted guidance and protection services to clients requiring professional and discreet security support.
