Adam Hughes is a seasoned law enforcement professional and President of Sentinel Strategic Group, bringing more than 19 years of experience in executive protection, private security operations, protective intelligence, and strategic risk management. His career spans service in Arizona, Colorado, and Utah, including retirement from the Colorado Springs Police Department in 2023 following a distinguished tenure in high-risk enforcement, undercover, and intelligence operations.
For 10 years, Hughes served as an undercover detective within the Colorado Springs Metro Vice, Narcotics, and Intelligence Division, leading and supporting multi-agency operations targeting transnational criminal organizations, organized crime networks, large-scale narcotics distribution, human trafficking and indentured servitude. His leadership reflects a proven capacity for discretion, operational command, and precision under pressure.
Hughes is a certified General Instructor, trained by the Executive Protection Institute, with advanced expertise in surveillance and counter-surveillance, threat analysis, undercover fieldcraft, and executive protection strategy. He holds a degree in Criminal Justice and Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) certification, supporting disciplined, trauma-informed decision-making in high-stakes environments.
